Oven Baked Short Ribs Recipe
This tasty oven baked short ribs recipe allows you to boil the ribs first so they come out cooked, tender and slathered in a delicious sauce.
4 pounds pork short ribs
1 Tablespoon butter
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup chili sauce
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 Tablespoons chopped onions
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon prepared mustard
1 Tablespoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 dashes hot pepper sauce
3 lemon slices
Cut the short ribs into serving sized pieces.
In a large pot, cover the ribs with water and simmer for about an hour on the stove.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large sauce pan, melt the butter and add the crushed garlic. Cook for a few minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients and then bring to a boil.
Drain the water from the ribs and place them in a shallow baking pan.
While the sauce is still boiling, carefully pour it over the ribs.
Bake for 30 minutes. Baste the ribs about every 10 minutes or so. Serve hot.
